These are our picks for the best burgers you can find in Northern Virginia. Juicy, handcrafted patties promise to tantalize your taste buds and satisfy the most selective burger critics.

B Side - Merrifield, Mosaic

It might be cheating, having it's own butcher shop next door, but all win because of it. I know this is a burger list but I have to mention they come with the best fries in all of Northern Virginia. They're that good.

Bun Papa - Alexandria, Belle View

Started as a pop-up and quickly got a following. Smashed patties using fresh baked buns from their sister bakery Bread & Water. It's a delicious combination.

Heirloom - Reston Town Center

The most upscale location on the burger list, Heirloom is much more of a high end dining experience, with a great drink menu and fantastic food. We had to include it on our list because it may not be a traditional burger spot, it's a fantasitc hamburger.

Market Burger Fries & Shakes - Purcellville

High quality meats and local ingredients in every burger. This small spot produces big burgers with lots of flavor. Specials changing on the menu often make it a great place to stop, often.

Melt - Leesburg

The famous Melt. I say that because it's a guarantee to see it on every "best of" burger list. You can find it on lists for best burger in the country and honestly it's not surprising. Huge burgers with great fresh baked buns. Honestly, you just have to try it.

Steeze Burger - Moving Pop-Up

Incredibly simple menu executed beautifully. No physical location with multiple pop-ups throughout the DMV every week. Be sure to find them on social media and track them down. Completely worth it.

The Whole Ox - Marshall

An incredibly juicy and flavorful burger. Great toppings, incredible bun, all around one of the best burgers you'll find in all of Northern Virginia. This is worth the drive no matter where in NoVa you may live.
