The Mosaic area has some great restaurants, shops, a movie theater and even a Target. Plenty of reasons to eat. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you're probably going to find it in Mosaic. Plenty of great options to choose from. If you’re in the mood for a relaxed atmosphere, extensive drink menu, and great hearty dishes, you need to check out B Side. Located next to Mom’s Organic Market, off the main street, it’s worth the short walk no matter where you are in Mosaic. B Side is connected to Red Apron Butcher and takes full advantage of being next to a butcher shop. When you look at the menu, you can see they give you plenty of tempting steak and meat selections. The only issue with so many choices is you may not try any of them if you order the burger. Once you try the BSide Smashburger you will have trouble ordering anything else next time you visit. It’s an incredible burger. I say it’s one of the best in Northern Virginia. Possibly the best smashburger in the area. If that’s not enough to tempt you, the fries could be the best. Beef fat fries with full garlic cloves can not be missed. No matter what you order, the fries are a must.
The B Side has a great brunch menu Saturdays and Sundays but, as I wrote, it’s difficult not to order burger and fries which are always on the menu. B Side is closed Mondays and only serves dinner Tuesday through Friday. The drink menu is, as I wrote, extensive and many members of the waitstaff being mixologists. The Red Apron Butcher Shop is connected directly to the restaurant. Mosaic has plenty of parking, with a parking deck located across the street from B Side and plenty of reasons to walk around or catch a movie or shop at Target. If you find yourself in Mosaic looking for a great drink, or if you want a great burger and fries, you really need to check out B Side. If you do, please let me know if there’s a better French fry in Northern Virginia. I haven’t found one yet.
