Ice Cream Jubilee

Founded in 2014 by Victoria Lai, Ice Cream Jubilee has become a staple in the DMV area, known for its creative and elevated take on traditional ice cream flavors. With five locations—one in Maryland, two in DC, and two in Northern Virginia (Ballston Quarter food court and Reston Town Center)—this ice cream haven is quickly expanding, with a new spot coming soon to Falls Church.

Victoria Lai’s journey started in 2009 when she began making ice cream as a hobby, experimenting with new creations and evolving flavors in her kitchen. She later attended the renowned Penn State University ice cream seminar, a program that’s paved the way for many in the industry. Today, Ice Cream Jubilee sources its dairy from local family-owned farms, ensuring the freshest, highest-quality ingredients go into every scoop.

The menu offers a balance of traditional and seasonal delights. Year-round favorites include fresh minty chip, vanilla fudge ripple, chocolate, vanilla, cookie dough, and a refreshing mango sorbet. Their seasonal options really stand out, though, with unique flavors like apple butter oatmeal cookie and pumpkin spice churro, both perfect for fall.

What makes Ice Cream Jubilee special is its ability to give familiar flavors a bold twist, creating something new yet comforting. The quality of the ingredients and attention to detail result in an exceptionally creamy and rich ice cream that consistently earns high praise. Tastemade has named it one of the top 10 ice cream shops in America, and it’s been recognized by Travel and Leisure and even chef Alton Brown.

If you find yourself in Ballston or Reston, stopping by Ice Cream Jubilee is a must. The smooth, indulgent texture and inventive flavors will keep you coming back for more, eager to explore everything their menu has to offer.
