Jake's Ice Cream & Jake's Gourmet Popcorn

Jake’s Ice Cream and Jake’s Popcorn are more than just places to indulge in delicious treats; they’re symbols of inclusivity, community, and exceptional craftsmanship. Founded by Robin Rinearson during the pandemic, with the invaluable assistance of her nephew Jake, who has cerebral palsy, these establishments are dedicated to providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

At Jake’s Ice Cream, you’ll find yourself immersed in a world of artisanal delights, with 28 flavors of small-batch ice cream, including vegan options. The experience goes beyond mere consumption; with the opportunity to host your own flavor creation party, every visit becomes a memorable event. Their commitment to inclusivity is evident in their partnership with organizations like the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia and the Parents of Autistic Children.

But the sweetness doesn’t stop there. Jake’s Popcorn, which joined the family in 2023, offers an astonishing array of flavors – up to 50 varieties, ranging from classic staples to inventive combinations like sriracha honey and curry. The popcorn is meticulously crafted in-house, ensuring freshness and quality with every bite.

What sets Jake’s apart isn’t just their delectable treats, but their dedication to empowerment and community. From employing differently-abled individuals to collaborating with job coaches and skilled students, their mission to foster a sense of accomplishment, community, and autonomy shines through in every aspect of their operation.

Whether you’re craving a scoop of handcrafted ice cream or a bag of gourmet popcorn, Jake’s Ice Cream and Jake’s Popcorn offer not just culinary delights, but a taste of compassion, inclusion, and joy.
