There are coffee shops and there are dessert bars. Then there's Magnolia Dessert Bar & Coffee in Vienna. It checks the boxes of desserts and coffee but does much more than that. A very unassuming building that's anything but when you walk in. From the presidents pictures on the walls to the vintage typewriters on the shelves and much more, there's not much else like it in Northern Virginia. It takes your traditional coffee and desserts and kicks them up a notch with a Thai twist to a lot. Known for their honey toast, they can cure anyone's sweet tooth no matter how big it might be. Offering some breakfast options they still could be ordered as a dessert. Their waffle comes with two scoops of ice cream and whipped cream. They have snow ice, crepes and homemade pies. Not to mention a large menu of non coffee drinks to choose from. Like their sister restaurants, Sisters Thai, the look and feel is unique and is worth looking around. When you're there if you don't sit upstairs be sure to head up and take a look. You'd never know looking at it from the outside but Magnolia is pretty different than anywhere else around. If you're in the mood for something sweet and you're in Vienna I recommended trying it out. It's definitely worth seeing it for yourself.
