Maison Cheryl

About two blocks east of the Clarendon metro station is a little French restaurant, Maison Cheryl. I stopped in for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I have not tried their lunch or dinner menu. It's a wonderful looking open interior with great decor. They do have a couple of tables on the sidewalk in front as well. I very much liked the look and feel as I walked in. It was a good size brunch menu with a lot of dishes I would have liked to try. I opted for the brunch BLT. A traditional BLT sandwich served with two fried eggs on a toasted croissant and fries. Also wanted to try their biscuits with strawberry jam, honey and butter. First, the BLT was fantastic. Bacon cooked perfectly. Herb aioli was a great addition. Fried eggs just runny enough. I really enjoyed it and even with a lot of great options to choose from it would be difficult to not order it again. I also enjoyed the french fries as well. More season style than traditional fries. They too were cook perfectly. If I go back I would not order the biscuits again. They weren't bad just nothing particularly good about them. I was expecting a little more from a traditional french restaurant. Very basic biscuit that didn't seem to be made fresh. It wasn't enough to stop me from going back. Especially how good the sandwich was. I would love to go back if more dishes on the menu were to the caliber of the brunch BLT. I would like to try Maison Cheryl for dinner. Please let me know if you have and your thoughts.
