One of the best places in Northern Virginia to walk around and enjoy the day is Old Town Alexandria. Whether it’s hot and you need something cold to drink or there’s a chill in the air and a hot coffee is more suitable, stopping in at Misha’s will only make your time in Old Town more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to meet a friend to catch up, get some work done on your laptop, or grab one of their many bakery options, the star of the show here is the coffee. Misha’s takes pride in their coffee and it shows; their coffee is hand picked and roasted everyday. You can tell quality means something here. I’m a big fan of places that bake their own croissants, breads, and scones in house, but, here I don’t mind they aren’t able to do that. With small locations, Misha’s doesn’t have enough room for a kitchen so they make sure to order from the best places in the area to ensure you’re getting quality with everything they sell.
Both locations give you the feel of Old Town. King Street, with its large front windows, feels like the interior continues into the street. Prince Street, close to the water, has the 2nd floor balcony giving you a beautiful view of the neighborhood and water. Whichever location you choose, whatever drink you order, whatever food you try, it’s going to be a good choice at Misha’s. An Alexandria staple for decades, Misha’s will continue to make the neighborhood a better place for years to come.
