Sisters Thai has created a very unique and delicious group of restaurants. With 5 in total and a 6th coming soon. All bringing a familiar, comfortable vibe yet each special in their own way. Four in Virginia (Alexandria, Fairfax, Mosaic, and one coming to Tysons) along with their one in Potomac, MD and of course their dessert bar & coffee shop, Magnolia in Vienna. This review is on the 4 Thai restaurants of the group. There is a separate review for Magnolia here. The restaurants all carry similar menus focusing on traditional Thai cuisine, stir-fry, noodles and Thai street food. A big menu with plenty of choices. Especially with the many options to choose your sauce and protein combinations. Spice levels can be altered for most dishes for those who aren't looking for something too hot. The menu is big but not overwhelming. Service was always good with lots of staff there to help you. What I really enjoy about these restaurants, other than the food, is the decor. Extremely unique with their decorations. Each restaurant has it's own personality and is named as such. The Extraordinary Cafe in Alexandria. The Living Room in Old Town Fairfax. The Ordinary Cafe in Mosaic and The Village Cafe in Potomac. If you've been to more than one you can see the similarities and also understand how they trend to be different. It's a great concept keeping the reasons people love these restaurants and yet making each feel like it's own place. I think businesses with multiple locations could benefit from this. You go here for the food but be sure to leave room. Their dessert menu are some of the same delicious options from Magnolia Dessert Bar. With multiple locations around Northern Virginia you probably aren't too far from a Sisters Thai. They do a great job of be a little different than the rest. The difference that separates them from most.
