The Black Market in Aldie, VA, is an exciting new addition to the area, although it hasn’t had an official grand opening yet. Located in the historic Aldie General Store building right off Route 50, this restaurant boasts a stunning setting with walls of wine bottles and gorgeous decor. The ambiance captures the charm of a high-end winery, yet it manages to maintain a relaxed vibe that feels welcoming.
The wine menu is extensive, and the drink options are impressive. As for food, you can start with charcuterie boards and cheeses, paired perfectly with your choice of wine. Their appetizers range from ham croquettes and meatballs to Seaspice octopus, ensuring there’s something to intrigue every palate. If you’re in the mood for something heartier, they offer a variety of pasta dishes that stand out on the menu.
Owned by Carlos and Maryam Miranda, who also run Seaspice Brasserie in Miami, this new spot is already creating a buzz. I had the chance to visit during its first week, and I was thoroughly impressed. The Black Market promises to be a must-visit in Aldie once it fully launches. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth stopping in to experience the food, wine, and atmosphere firsthand.
