The Deli, with three Northern Virginia locations in Fairfax, Leesburg and the original Herndon, is a true neighborhood staple. Owned and operated by a father and son, the Herndon location, run by the father, has been a local fixture since 1979. It’s the kind of place where regulars walk in knowing exactly what they’ll order, having enjoyed the same favorites for decades. It’s heartwarming to see families bringing their kids in for the same subs they grew up loving.
The Fairfax shop, now run by the son, continues the tradition of excellent service and great food, and I’m hopeful The Deli will keep growing. All three locations have plenty of parking—Fairfax on Lee Hwy in Lee Plaza, Leesburg in the Landsdowne Town Center and Herndon off Eldon St. in Herndon Centre.
